We’re looking for a Project Manager - Delivery to support delivery of the $301 million Greater South East Irrigation Scheme.
This exciting project will deliver more than 30,000 megalitres of new, highly-reliable irrigation water to farmers in the State’s south east and deliver a net economic benefit to Tasmania of $291 million. It will also create more than 200 construction jobs and nearly 500 ongoing jobs.
This role would suit either an experienced Project Manager or an experienced Senior Project Engineer looking to take the next step in their career.

ABOUT US
Tasmanian Irrigation Pty Ltd is a State-owned Company that develops, owns and operates irrigation schemes in Tasmania, in accordance with sound commercial practice, to facilitate the expansion of agricultural production in the State.
Tasmanian Irrigation owns and operates 19 irrigation schemes across the state, along with additional inherited infrastructure. Tasmanian Irrigation’s promise to our irrigator customers is to provide reliable and consistent water at the lowest sustainable price while responsibly and sustainably managing our water resources, scheme assets and the environment.
Tasmanian Irrigation oversees development of irrigation schemes, funded through a unique public / private partnership model.
All schemes developed and operated by Tasmanian Irrigation are economically viable, environmentally sustainable, have strong community endorsement, are designed to last at least 100 years and deliver water at an average reliability of more than 95 per cent per annum.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Project Manager - Delivery, you will work alongside the Project Director to ensure the successful planning, design, approval, and execution of the GSEIS project. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project meets its scope, budget, and timeline while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in project management, particularly in construction or water management.
• Formal qualifications in Project Management.
• Extensive knowledge of project and contract management practices.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a talent for building and maintaining relationships.
• Budget management expertise, ensuring financial accountability.
• Strong people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate teams and stakeholders.
• Valid rights to work in Australia.

Desirable Skills:
• Formal qualifications in engineering, planning or environmental approvals.
