Tasmanian Irrigation collects water level, flow and quality and rainfall information to assist with its operations. Some of this data is made available to the public via the internet in near real time to enable members of the public to plan their business or other activities.

Tasmanian Irrigation’s Published Water Information
The water information collected and published by Tasmanian Irrigation (and other agencies) can include either raw data or value-added information, such as plots that relate to water flow, quantity and quality or rainfall (Published Water Information).
The Published Water Information includes telemetered data from the various field probes and sensors, which is transmitted and published by automatic processes. So that the Published Water Information is as up-to-date as possible, it is published in its raw form as it is received and before it has been checked or verified. Other Published Water Information, such as water quality data, is obtained and recorded manually.
From time to time the Published Water Information may be incorrect or incomplete, e.g. the field probes and sensors may malfunction.
