ABOUT THE ROLE

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
As a key member of Tasmanian Irrigation’s environment team, you will:
- Assist in the implementation and review of Water Quality Monitoring Programs (WQMPs).
- Conduct compliance audits of Farm Water Access Plans (Farm WAPs) and irrigation scheme operations.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for environmental indicators.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of environmental compliance activities.
- Assist with the preparation of reports for submission to regulators.
- Participate in fieldwork including water sampling, ecological surveys, and site inspections.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure environmental obligations are understood and met.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental systems and procedures.
- Support environmental incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Assist in training and awareness activities related to environmental compliance.
- Be primarily based in the office but will also drive to conduct field activities at operating agricultural facilities, irrigation properties, construction sites, remote monitoring locations, and new scheme locations.
