Staying connected to our irrigators

GSEIS Web Res 389 Tolpuddle Vineyard Manager Carlos Souris 4 2025 1

During May 2025, we brought together the Chairs of IRCs from across the state, to meet the Board and management team and talk about where the company is heading. It was a great opportunity for participants to engage and hear from each other and for IRC Chairs to meet new CEO, Mike Sylvester.

We were delighted to have the Chairs of 10 schemes present, and we appreciate the effort made to come to Campbell Town from locations across the State.

Discussion covered many issues, including how Tasmanian Irrigation can provide greater transparency around things such as annual charges and maintenance and asset replacement programs. An overview of TI’s Strategic Plan was provided, and an update on the status of community management.

There were also updates on our project development portfolio to build new irrigation schemes – forecast to reach $1.3 billion for the full Tranche Three program - an overview of Tasmanian Irrigation’s environmental activity across those projects and the 19 operational schemes, and a look back at water delivery and general conditions across the summer irrigation season and a look ahead to climate and weather projections.
