Tasmanian Irrigation is pleased to announce the launch of a second round of water sales for the $301 million Greater South East Irrigation Scheme!

With 37,200 ML of water available annually, this scheme presents a unique opportunity for farmers, agribusinesses, and investors to secure their water future and drive economic growth.

Thanks to secured funding from both the State and Federal Governments, the Greater South East Irrigation Scheme is guaranteed to proceed.

Farmers can future-proof their businesses by investing in water entitlements, ensuring access to highly reliable and cost-effective irrigation water that underpins sustainable and profitable agricultural development. The scheme will quadruple the existing irrigation capacity in the region, and more than 300 irrigators will directly benefit, creating a solid foundation for agricultural growth.

To help potential buyers understand how this scheme can work for you, Tasmanian Irrigation will be hosting a series of drop-in sessions. These sessions are an opportunity to meet the project team, learn more about the scheme’s timeline, and receive guidance on the water entitlement application process.

If you are considering purchasing water entitlements, don’t miss the chance to speak with our team and explore how this initiative can support your farming future.
